Doug Johnson
Doug Johnson is President of Bob Johnson Insurance, Inc.
He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. After joining the
agency in 1983, Doug earned the honors of CIC (Certified Insurance
Counselor) and LUTC (Life Underwriters Training Council). He is
married and has one daughter. They are active members of Grace Baptist
Church on Oak Ridge Highway. He also plays the pedal steel guitar for the group

Ben Johnson
Ben Johnson is secretary/treasurer of Bob Johnson Insurance, Inc. and joined the agency in 1988. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee. Ben's primary focus within the agency is to serve ministry based organizations (Churches, Christian camps, Christian schools, etc.). He is a board member for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Compassion Coalition, and serves as prayer team leader for Operation Inasmuch. Ben and his wife have two sons, and they attend Calvary Chapel in Knoxville. Ben is also a member of the Gideons International.

Mark Durfee
Mark Durfee joined the Agency in 1996. He is a graduate of
the University of Tennessee. He is married with 2 children, a daughter
and a son. They are active members of Salem Baptist Church. Mark has been a leader in the Halls Business
and Professional Association and an active member of the Gideons.

Norm Wheeler
Norm Wheeler joined the Agency in 2003. His focus is quoting and
writing personal lines insurance. He is a graduate of Franklin University
in Columbus, Ohio. He has over 33 years of insurance experience.
He is married, has 8 children, 18 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
They are active members of Temple Baptist Church in Powell Tennessee.

Jason Sluss
Jason Sluss re-joined the agency in 2006. His focus is quoting and writing personal lines as well as
serving as a customer service specialist. Jason holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University
of TN, Knoxville. He is also an ordained Baptist minister. He and his wife Ashley are members of Free Spirit
Missionary Baptist Church.

Rhoda Whaley
Rhoda Whaley is the office manager at Bob Johnson Insurance Inc. She joined the agency in 1986. Rhoda is a licensed insurance agent. She has 25+ years experience in personal lines customer service, and received Insurance Achievement Award from Safeco Insurance in 1996. Rhoda and her husband Tony have one son.

Lee Ann Hodges
Lee Ann has been working in insurance for 20 years. She has been with the Bob Johnson Agency since 1995. She is a licensed insurance agent, customer service representative and notary. The notary service is available as a courtesy to our customers. Lee Ann and husband David, have two grown sons.

Bettie Sweeten
Bettie has worked at Bob Johnson Insurance since 2002. She is a licensed insurance agent and works in customer service serving
our commercial line customers and Christian ministry customers. She started in the insurance business in 1985. Bettie holds
a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Tusculum College and a Bachelor of Arts in Ministry from Church of God
World Harvester in Alabama. She is also President of Good Cheer Ministries and an ordained minister. She attends Fresh Word Ministry in Morristown. She has 3 sons and 6 grandchildren.

Tyler Ladd
Tyler has been a Knoxville resident for 26 years and joined the agency in March of 2010. He is a graduate from the University of
Tennessee where he received his BA in Communication Studies. Tyler's primary focus in the agency is to serve ministry based
organizations. He is an active member of FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and serves as the team chaplain for Farragut
High School Football. Tyler is married.

Wallace Kincer
Wallace Kincer began working for Bob Johnson Insurance in 2011. He recently moved back to his hometown area of Jenkins, Kentucky
where he will be specializing in insuring churches and other Christian based ministries. Wallace has over 20 years of church
insurance experience. He has 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He attends Millstone Methodist Church.

Janet Henschen
Janet has been our receptionist at Bob Johnson Insurance since 2004.
She is a licensed insurance agent taking care of our customers in
the front office. Janet and her husband have four children and six
grandchildren. They are active members of Temple Baptist Church.

Dave Rosser
Dave is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and grew up in Roane County. He has been with the agency since April of 2011. His primary focus is to serve churches and Christian-based ministries. For 25 years, he served in Church Administration for churches in Indiana and Tennessee. From 1997-2010, Dave was the Business Administrator for Temple Baptist Church, Crown College, and Temple Baptist Academy in Powell, TN. He continues to be the Sunday School teacher for the Friendship Class at the Temple Baptist Church. Dave and his wife, Linda, have been married for 40 years and have been blessed with 4 children and 10 grandchildren.

David Jenkins
David Jenkins joined the agency in March, 2012. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee.
He is married and has a daughter. David is licensed in personal lines as well as life and health and has been
helping customers in the insurance industry for the past 11 years. He and his wife are active members at
Central Baptist Church of Fountain City.

Bob Johnson
Bob Johnson is the founder and prior owner of Bob Johnson Insurance, Inc. He started the agency in 1964 and sold it to his two sons, Doug & Ben in 1995. Currently Bob & Marilyn live in a Condo on the golf course of Lake Tansi Resort in Crossville, TN. They are active members, and he is a Deacon at Central Baptist Church in Crossville and are also active with the Gideons. When they are not playing golf, you can usually find them at church or back in Knoxville visiting their 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
